Our family history begins in the late 1700s with the marriage of Jose Gevasio Castilleja (b.7/19/1748-d.1846) and Maria Rosa Gregoria Ochoa (b.1750 d.1860). Date of Marriage: 1750s. Together they had 13 children: Jose Cristobal, Maria Atiliana, Jose Mauricio, Maria D.A., Maria Matiana, Maria de la Ascencion, Jose Victor, Maria Rita, Maria Josefa, Jose Miguel, Maria Paula Dolores, Maria Lorenza and Maria Antonia. Hence, our family history begins.

Jose Cristobal is one of the 13 children of Jose Gevasio Castilleja. Jose Cristobal and Marcelina Ortega, married in 1820 in San Isabel, Armadillo de los Infantes, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Together they had 3 children: Gregorio, Santiago and Herculano. Our story begins with these three sons, their 37 children and their 186 grandchildren.

Eusebio Castilleja and Dominga Casarez had 12 Children: Jose Antonio, Domingo, Jose Maria (Chema) , Raul, Jaime, Maximiliano, Maria Teresa Gonzalez-Castilleja, Consuelo, Maria Orfelia, Maria Concepcion, Antonia and Lupita.

My father, Maximiliano Castilleja is one of 12 children of Eusebio.

Maximiliano Castilleja and Maria Lilia Castilleja married on January 2, 1947. Together they had 10 children: Juan Miguel Castilleja, Sylvia Castilleja, Maria Lilia, Maximiliano, Jr., Rosalinda, Daniel Omar, Jorge Alberto, Jose Angel, Maria Priscilla Castilleja and Aida Yvette Castilleja.
